Academic Departments Collection

Admissions Office Records
The Admissions Office Records include documents related to the admissions process such as catalogs, entrance requirements, and financial aid information. The bulk of what is included is printed material intended for promotional purposes. Documents included with this collection date the 1830s to present day but the bulk are from the 20th century.
Athletics Collection
The Athletic Department Records include documents related to sports and athletic programs on campus. The bulk of the documents consist of rosters and programs from sporting events.
Calliopean Society Records
The Calliopean Society Records include meeting minutes, constitutions, bylaws, and other documents created during the the Society's founding and operation. Additional documents include meeting notices, membership rolls, event programs, and student writing. The bulk of the material date from the Society's founding in 1852 through its formal dissolution in 1918. Also included are documents created during revivals of the Society that occurred in the late-1970s and mid-1990s.

This collection contains items collected by Thomas L Hartshorn, and his father C. Burton Hartshorn during Thomas’ time at Lawrenceville School 1945-1949. A large part of the collection are Fundraising items sent to C. Burton Hartshorn soliciting funds for the Campus Development Fund as well as the Fathers Association. Also included are items relating to Thomas L. Hartshorn such as his Numerals Award Certificate, newpaper clippings, and event programs.

This series consists of a nearly complete run of admissions catalogs. The catalogs are distributed to perspective students and include messages from administration, a history of the school, a description of the overall educational philosophy, an outline of current the curriculum, brief introductions to faculty, an overview of life on campus, and directions on how to apply.
