The bulk of the Gwynne Abbott Papers consist of poems written by Abbott, some of them published. Included are not only finished works, but early and annotated drafts. Also included are notes for ideas, submissions for publication, drafts of short stories and plays, and general correspondence. The documents cover the entirety of Abbott's life.
The Admissions Office Records include documents related to the admissions process such as catalogs, entrance requirements, and financial aid information. The bulk of what is included is printed material intended for promotional purposes. Documents included with this collection date the 1830s to present day but the bulk are from the 20th century.
The Alumni Association Records consist of war record questionnaires, programs for Alumni Weekend and awards ceremonies, class reunion booklets, and subject files pertaining to Alumni Association business. The documents begin shortly after the formation of a formal alumni association but the bulk date from the 20th century.
The Isaac Van Arsdale Brown Papers include receipts for materials for the school and personal use and several pieces of correspondence pertaining to school business. Also included is correspondence between the Brown family and The Lawrenceville School which includes biographical information and references to Isaac V. Brown's legacy.
The Josiah Bunting Papers consist of the documents relating to persoanl life of Josiah Bunting. Included are letters, notes, and correspondence, clippings, and personal writings. Documents relating to Josiah Bunting's position as Lawrenceville School's Headmaster can be found in DC115 Office of the Headmaster Collection.
The Calliopean Society Records include meeting minutes, constitutions, bylaws, and other documents created during the the Society's founding and operation. Additional documents include meeting notices, membership rolls, event programs, and student writing. The bulk of the material date from the Society's founding in 1852 through its formal dissolution in 1918. Also included are documents created during revivals of the Society that occurred in the late-1970s and mid-1990s.
This collection consists of college admissions materials, scattergrams of test scores, and subject files ranging in topic from matriculation lists to information on specific higher education institutions. Materials range in date from 1919 to 2014 with the bulk of items dating to the 1960s and 1970s.
The bulk of the Robert Dechert Collection consists of letters to Dechert's parents in which he describes his experiences at The Lawrenceville School. Some letters from Head Master McPherson are combined with the letters from Dechert to his parents. Also included are essays and student work, notebooks, event and sport programs, and term reports. The bulk of the material dates from Dechert's fifth form year.
While the Albert Raymond Evans Papers contain information covering the years 1882-1971, most of the documents date from the Head Master Heely years through through his death in 1972. The Evans papers include his business correspondence and notes on management; school financial records and statistics; records regarding the trustees, faculty, alumni; and various phases of the school's academic and social life.
The bulk of the Green Family Collection consists of biographical material pertaining to John Cleve Green, Henry Woodhull Green and other members of the Green family. Documents include biographical sketches, family trees, and a small amount of correspondence and business papers as John Cleve Green. Also include are a small amount personal affects of Helen Wood Green, daughter of Henry Woodhull Green.
This collection contains a recital program and musical scores written by Paul W. Hofreiter. Many of the scores were composed for Lawrenceville and/or members of the Lawrenceville community. The collection ranges from 1987 to 1997.
This series consists of press releases written by the Communications Department for news outlets, school publications, and the school website.
