The Happy Years Collection
Scope and Contents
The Happy Years Collection consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, promotional material, and scripts. The bulk of the correspondence is between Carey Wilson, a producer at MGM Studios, and Alden Groff, the Director of Public Relations at The Lawrenceville School. The correspondence covers the pre-production process, permission to use names, script approvals, local screenings, and the response from alumni. The bulk of the newspaper clipping consists of reviews. Also included is a script used during the production of the film.

Biographical / Historical
The Happy Years is a feature film based on The Lawrenceville Stories by Owen Johnson. It focuses on John Humperkink "Dink" Stover's experiences as a student at The Lawrenceville School. Much of the film was shot on location at The Lawrenceville School.
