Scope and Contents

Collection consists of photographs, negatives, and slides taken or collected by J. Allen Fitzpatrick during his tenure at the Lawrenceville School. Many of the photographs depict campus life at Lawrenceville, including campus candid’s, sports, and student art.

Biographical / Historical

J. Allen Fitzpatrick graduated from the Lawrenceville School in 1973. He would return to the school as a faculty member and eventually become the Chair of the Art Department. In addition to his teaching duties, he coached hockey and lacrosse. He received the Joukowsky Fellowship in 1993, which he used to obtain a master’s degree from New York Graduate School for Figurative Art in New York City. He retired in 2019.
