Scope and Contents
Contains letters to Lili Damita from her son, Sean Flynn, as well as from the registrar at Black-Foxe Military Institute, Dean J.D. Chivers at the Lawrenceville School, Assistant Head Master Alton R. Hyatt at the Lawrenceville School, and Medical Director A. Edward Blackmar at the Lawrenceville School. Also includes two letters to Sean Flynn from his Grandfather, and copies of replies Lili Damita wrote to the Lawrenceville School.
Sean Flynn's letters to his mother are all written while he was attending Lawrenceville School and span from Fall 1957 to Winter 1958. Sean writes about his classes, sports, visiting his father in New York City, visits to the infirmary, and his grades.
The letters from J.D Chivers and Alton R. Hyatt concern Sean Flynn's grades and academic prospects beyond Lawrenceville. Lili Damita includes handwritten copies of her replies to these letters.
