Occasional materials, including letters, photographs, and newspaper clippings regarding Ida Frances Williams. Everything is from 1959-1959, with an outlying 1925 New York Times clipping. Biographical / Historical
Ida Frances Williams (formerly Ida Frances Moody) was the wife of Samuel Barnitz Williams, Lawrenceville's Alumni Director and first Director of Developement. They married on July 7th, 1934. She was from Glen Rock, Pennsylavania, and attended Goucher College. After graduating, she taught at the William Penn Senior High School. She passed away on December 13th, 1976. Samuel Barnitz Williams graduated from Princeton University and taught at the William Penn Senior High School and Hebron Academy. he started at the Lawrenceville School in 1959 as the newly created position of Director of Developement. He passed away on April 5th, 1999.
