Biography

Green was a legatee of a large bequest made my John C. Green in 1879, which turned into an endowment for the Lawrenceville School. At this time the school was transferred from a sole proprietorship to trustees. Green was a Trustee of the Lawrenceville School during the 1882-1890 period when the administration changed hands from Samuel McClintock Hamill, to James Cameron Mackenzie.
