Biography

Balentine graduated from the Lawrenceville School in 1843 and was an Instructor for a number of years between 1840 and 1860. He was a founder and Principal of the Cherokee Female Seminary, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, (Indian Territory, Cherokee Nation).
