Robert Dechert Collection

Scope and Contents The bulk of the Robert Dechert Collection consists of letters to Dechert's parents in which he describes his experiences at The Lawrenceville School. Some letters from Head Master McPherson are combined with the letters from Dechert to his parents. Also included are essays and student work, notebooks, event and sport programs, and term reports. The bulk of the material dates from Dechert's fifth form year.

Albert Raymond Evans Papers

Scope and Contents While the Albert Raymond Evans Papers contain information covering the years 1882-1971, most of the documents date from the Head Master Heely years through through his death in 1972. The Evans papers include his business correspondence and notes on management; school financial records and statistics; records regarding the trustees, faculty, alumni; and various phases of the school's academic and social life.

Percival Chandler Norris World War I Collection

Scope and Contents The bulk of the P.C. Norris World War I Collection consists of correspondence to and from Lawrenceville alumni serving in World War I. The correspondents include many notable Lawrentians of the period. The men often wrote about the experience of being away from home and in combat. Other items include photographs, newspaper clippings, and wedding announcements. The bulk of the documents date from immediately before the war to shortly after armistice.

Scope and Contents The bulk of the papers consist of correspondence between Nicholas H. Noyes and members of The Lawrenceville School administration regarding Noyes family contributions to the school. Much of the correspondence pertains to the Nicholas H. Noyes, Jr. Scholarship Fund. Also included are letters to and from Jansen Noyes regarding Noyes family contributions and the possible projects for the gifts. The correspondence covers both the Head Master Abbott and Head Master Heely administrations.
